Our Town is a heartfelt drama that explores the lives of people living in a small, quintessentially American town in the early 1900s. At its center, the story follows the courtship, marriage, and early life together of citizens George and Emily.
This Pulitzer Prize winner has been on the top ten list of the most produced plays in high schools since the 1950s until today. It is a small town story told with gentle humor and a warm heart. But behind a seemingly sentimental facade is a powerful tale that explores hard truths about life's beauties and difficulties.
