TASIS students make Christmas a special time for children around the world by donating gifts that fit into a shoebox.
Each year TASIS students donate shoeboxes for 'Operation Christmas Child' a charity organized by Samaritan's Purse. Students wrap a shoebox, decide what age child their box is for, and then fill it with thoughtful gifts. The shoebox is then collected by the charity and sent to needy children in different countries around the world in time for Christmas.
This year, lower and middle school students donated approximately 200 shoeboxes! On Friday, excited students carried festive boxes filled with carefully selected gifts to the lorry waiting outside, each box destined for a child who may not have a another present to open this Christmas.
