Following months of construction and anticipation, the new student center, ‘Royals’ has opened its doors to the TASIS community today.
The new café-style zone, named Royals after the school’s sports teams, will be available for students, parents, and faculty. Offering food and beverages throughout the day, Royals will be a place to relax, and meet with friends in a funky innovative space, without the need to leave the campus.
Service will start from 7:30am for breakfast, and will continue throughout the day serving Starbucks beverages, savory snacks, pastries, freshly squeezed juices, frozen yogurt and ice creams.
Headmaster Michael McBrien, is pleased with the new center, “We now have an innovative space that promotes school pride and fosters a true sense of community. The dining experience is greatly enhanced by this new addition.”
Students gathered in the new area this morning as Royals opened its doors for the first time and commented:
“It is great to have Starbucks coffee here on campus and all the delicious snacks, I can’t wait to come and get my favorite drinks each day!”
“This is such a fun place to meet with my friends after class, and I think the beverages and food on offer is great!”
“I am surprised to see how big the space looks and the style is really fun and colorful!”
