Addressing the large group that gathered in front of the impressive new building, Mr. McBrien said, “The TASIS England Science Center promotes greater opportunities for inquiry based teaching and learning. We have not changed our curriculum, but we have infused it with technological advancements, state-of-the-art laboratories, interactive classrooms, and inspired teachers. This is a magical mix, and a recipe for success. This truly is a learning environment worthy of the 21st Century."
Mr. Tudhope remarked, “The new building will bring us all together as a department and offers spacious laboratories, storage rooms, offices, and tutorial rooms. The design promotes collaboration, teamwork, and learning practical science skills."
After the speeches had been made, proud upper school students with a special flare for science took center stage next to Mr. McBrien and Mr. Tudhope to cut the ribbon, and invited everyone to tour the building.
