The Peru Club organized a “Walk for a Cause.” The group of students and teachers took a walk at 7:15 a.m. on September 19. The objective of this action is to support by raising awareness and money for the “Sacred Valley Project,” a charity that provides boarding houses for teenage girls in the Andean region of Peru.
To attend school, students in this area have to walk over 4 hours every day through treacherous trails in the mountains while suffering harsh weather conditions during some periods of the year. With this walk, we want to show solidarity with them and contribute to making housing available so they can make their dream come true: which is to complete their high school education.
