French trip to Normandy
written by 6th, 7th, 8th Grade French Students
The French trip to Normandy was an amazing experience and a lot of fun. It was a great time because we could practice our French and spend time with our friends. The trip was filled with memories that we will never forget.
On the first day, we went to the beach and out for a meal. The next day, we went to a market in Dieppe where we practiced our French and shopped till we dropped! Then, we went to Rouen where we visited the Jeanne d' Arc church, the cathedral, and the medieval streets, which were paved with history and where Mr. Staley explained the history of each place. That night, at the château we had Olympic games and even Mme. Dias joined in.
On Sunday, we drove to the town of EU and we saw a royal palace and visited a beautiful cathedral. Then, that afternoon, we went to a movie in French, either Iron Man 2 or Camping 2! Everyone had a good time, except for some of the girls who fell asleep.
When we arrived at the château, that night, snails and frog legs were on the dinner menu and we had a disco with an all-girls school! Fun! We departed the next day, Monday, to England but still had time to visit and explore the sea life center, Nausica, and to do some shopping at City Europe in Calais.
We would like to give a special thanks to Mrs. Dias, Mr., Staley and Dr. Nash. We didn't want to go back home!
