PIRC
PIRC: Helping Families Transition
The Parents’ Information & Resource Committee (PIRC) is a group of volunteer parents from all three sections of the School who provide support to TASIS England parents, faculty, and administration as we cope with the emotional, social, and practical issues inherent in the transitions of expatriate life and/or changing schools.
Throughout the year, PIRC will host various opportunities to help your family transition to TASIS and to life in England. At the beginning of the school year, our main aim is to help you make connections with other families, share our own experiences, and provide you with a warm welcome as you join our TASIS England community. Throughout the course of the year, you will have a chance to gather valuable information on various topics through our Transition and Adjustment Webinar, Learning to Drive in the UK seminar, University Application Parent Panel, and other events. We also host grade-level coffees at the beginning of the year, regular Virginia Water Lake walks throughout the year, and longer walks further afield, all of which are wonderful opportunities to mix and mingle with other members of our community.
We are here to support you and look forward to meeting you and your family!
