The Lower School Farewell Assembly
The Lower School Farewell Assembly
Faculty, parents, and students gather for the Lower School farewell assembly as the school year finishes this week at TASIS.

Love in Any Language

(originally sung by Sandi Patty)

Love in any language straight from the heart

Pulls us together, never apart

When we learn to speak it

All the world will hear

Love in any language fluently spoken here.

Students sang a selection of songs for the audience, finishing their performance with Love In Any Language, dedicated to Susan Porter, the Head of The Lower School, who is leaving after 26 years at TASIS.

Headmaster, Mr. McBrien, and Interim Head of the Lower School, Mrs. Rollo, gave heartfelt speeches about their time working with Ms. Porter and joined with the rest of the Lower School to wish her luck in her new life in Florida.

Emotional farewells were said to other members of staff, and families who are leaving the TASIS community, and congratulations given to those with new roles within the school.

The celebration continued with a picnic on the Lower School Lawn, as the community congregated for one last party before the summer holidays.

Emotional goodbyes: Ms. Porter with Mrs. Rollo. Mrs. Rollo also retired two years ago, but who returned this year and will come back, once again (!) to teach a First Grade class next year.
