Theatre

Encouraging confidence, creativity, and collaboration

Our vision is to see every student at TASIS England grow in their enjoyment and appreciation for theatre.

Theatre produces confidence, creativity, and collaboration in ways that no other art form does, which is why it is a cherished part of our curriculum from sixth grade. Through engaging classes, imaginative study, and energetic theatre productions our students experience the exhilaration and enlightenment that only theatre can bring, whether on stage, behind the scenes, or purely as part of the audience.

The Theatre department at TASIS England offers students the opportunity to study the craft of acting and theatre production through our academic courses. From the Middle School upwards it also offers extracurricular involvement via one of four major productions performed each year. In addition, we have a healthy technical theatre program and our department-led performances are run entirely by students.

Recent productions include: Twelfth Night, The Boy Who Fell into a Book, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Creature (Frankenstein Retold), Treasure Island, Ranked, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Copacabana.
