We recognize the vital role that sports and activities play in ensuring physical and mental health within a school community. The return of team sport is also an exciting moment for students who use this activity as their exercise of choice and gain the multiple physical, mental, and social benefits of playing.
Due to COVID-19 and the social distancing measures currently in place, we are amending our sports and activities offerings in an attempt to provide TASIS students with the safest and most enjoyable co-curricular experience possible. TASIS will monitor and adhere to the guidance produced by the UK Government and sports governing bodies to ensure the safest possible return to individual sports and activities. We recognize that risk in sport cannot be completely eradicated but, with caution and care, risks can be reduced and the benefits of team sport can be enjoyed fully again.
We appreciate that there is an abundance of resources provided on the internet, however, we also feel that many of us look forward to seeing a familiar face during the daily challenge of reduced social interaction. We hope that the videos provided encourage you to take part in weekly sports/activity sessions with our very own TASIS coaches. The sports tutorials are created in formats that aim to develop both basic and more advanced skills, which means that everyone in the family can take part!
