Ninth grade Duke of Edinburgh students are expected to attend this arranged expedition in the Brecon Beacons in Wales. This part of the UK is famed for its rugged natural beauty and is widely used by adventurers, the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, and the British army as a training ground for honing outdoor skills.
It promises to be a fantastic experience for all those undertaking the Duke of Edinburgh Award. During the expedition, the participants will take part in abseiling, rope, and climbing activities as well as hiking, map reading, and making camp. The participants will also be cooking their own meal one evening, and practice out in the field overnight in a tent one night.
