Weekend Activities
Connecting with students beyond the classroom is part of the TASIS England philosophy.
We give all our students the experience of a rigorous academic program in the classroom and a diverse range of co-curricular activities. As a boarding school, we also encourage our young people to spend their leisure time during the evenings and weekends constructively, to take full advantage of their time in the UK and Europe, and to experience the rich culture all around them.
The range of activities on offer reflect the varied interests of our students, and they are encouraged to propose new activities, too. These exciting and varied experiences may complement academic study or simply provide an opportunity to have fun and build life-long relationships.
Some evening social events take place on campus. Weekend trips and excursions available to our boarding school students include:
Theatres
TASIS England’s campus is close to London, so students regularly enjoy shows in the glittering West End.
Museums and exhibitions
Trips to London include visiting its eclectic range of art galleries and museums, including the National Gallery and Tate Modern.
Physical Activities
Students learn the value of teamwork and improve their health and fitness by participating in mountain biking, paintballing, and challenge courses.
Local attractions
Places of interest near our campus in the historic county of Surrey include National Trust sites and Thorpe Park, with its amusements and rollercoasters.
Sporting events
Students can travel to local stadiums to watch professional teams play football and rugby.
Weekend Activities
A TASIS England education is unlike any other. We offer multiple pathways of learning for each student – and that goes beyond the classroom.
Our action-packed boarding program supplements academic learning with opportunities to participate in weekend and evening activities, sports, and day trips. We nurture each student's curiosity, encouraging them to develop independence, resilience, and respect for each other and themselves. Students learn to appreciate different cultures while forging friendships with students from around the world. It is an experience students will cherish forever.
