VISA Information

Every year, TASIS England welcomes students from around the world.

TASIS England is a highly trusted sponsor under the UK Visa and Immigration’s Child Student and Student visa system. We want to make it as simple as possible for your child(ren) to attend our School and our Admissions Office staff are here to help guide you through the process of applying for their visa.

After enrollment
Once a boarding student has enrolled at TASIS England and has paid 100% of school fees, we are able to assign a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) reference number. The CAS then allows your child(ren) to apply for their Child Student or Student visa.
Please note: we usually only assign CAS reference numbers to our boarding students. However, on rare occasions, we can also discuss the possibility of offering a CAS to a day student, depending on whether your family meets UKVI requirements. The majority of our enrolled day students will be dependents on their parents’ work visas.

What type of visa should I apply for?
The type of visa required depends on the length of study. A useful resource is the UK Government’s Visas and Immigration website, where you can check if your child requires a visa and find out about the different types of visas and the application process.

Introduction of the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA)
An ETA is digital permission to travel to the UK for short visits such as tourism, business trips or short-term study such as coming to the UK for one semester only (if you are from a country that does not require a Standard Visitor visa). This new ETA process is part of the UK Government’s aim for all travel into the UK to become fully digital in 2025. For further details on this new process and when it may affect your travel, please see our ETA Guide below. If you have any questions at all about any of the above, please do not hesitate to contact the Admissions Office and we will be happy to help.
