Agent Quality Framework

TASIS England signed the AQF pledge on April 7, 2026, as a symbol of our commitment to the best practices of recruiting international students. 

The Agent Quality Framework (AQF) is a set of tools to enhance the experience of international students working with education agents and counselors to apply to study in the UK. The AQF is designed to ensure agents and counselors have the right knowledge of the UK as a study destination and understand the integrity of the UK visa and immigration system, in order to uphold the UK’s reputation as a world-class study destination. The AQF promotes four key principles: 

• empowering student choice and enabling informed decision making
• ensuring good agent governance and professionalism
• promoting ethical agent practices, professional knowledge, and competency
• increasing transparency and accountability

The AQF recognises the critical role that agents and counsellors play in attracting and supporting international students on their journey to study in the UK. It provides a suite of guidance and quality assurance tools designed to enhance the partnership between UK education providers on the register of licensed student sponsors and their agent/counselor representatives.

• British Council’s student and parent guide on choosing an education agent
• A comprehensive list of the admissions agents TASIS England is currently working with can be made available on request. You can also view the British Council Database of UK Knowledge Trained Counsellors and the list of Boarding School Association (BSA) Certified Agents. 
• We greatly appreciate our admissions agents and the vital role they play in supporting our prospective students. If you ever have any concerns or would like to raise a complaint about an agent, please contact our Admissions office. Your feedback is invaluable; it helps us improve and ensures we continue providing the best possible experience for our students.
• TASIS England has a commercial relationship with its network of admissions agents. A placement fee is paid to representatives who successfully enrol students with us.
