The Upper School Library was dedicated to Mr. Lyle Rigg, our longest serving Headmaster at TASIS England, on May 14, 2012.
The Upper School Library is housed in a beautiful chapel on the South Campus and is home to over 13,000 books, modern work spaces with laptop charge points, group work spaces, independent reading areas, and not forgetting the qualified and experienced School Librarian, Ms. Kennedy.
The Upper School Library supports every subject through materials, such as subject-related books, academic databases, newspapers, magazines and textbooks. All students can access the digital resources using their myTASIS login credentials.
Another important part of the Upper School Library is the extensive fiction collection which caters to the reading habits of all students. As the collection continues to develop, students, and faculty are welcome to speak to Ms. Kennedy to suggest and request new titles and resources.
There are no lending limits and the Library operates a flexible policy regarding returns; there are no due dates as students are encouraged to fully engage with the items they have borrowed.
Students frequently visit with their teachers and classes to work on a diverse range of topics such as research skills instruction, database use, digital literacy and critical evaluation of information, reading for pleasure, and tailored sessions based on the themes being covered in class. Students are able to visit the Library in their free time, including lunchtime and after school. In addition, Grades 11 and 12 can spend their study halls during the school day working in the Library. Boarders have the additional option to study in the Library during evening study hall.
The Upper School Library is committed to supporting academic and reading for pleasure needs, and there are often activities and events to promote this.

- Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 8:15 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Wednesday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Friday: 8:15 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
