Over the weekend of March 3-4, TASIS England Middle School students made a significant mark as they showcased their intellect at the World Scholar's Cup Regional Challenge held in Surrey. This prestigious event is renowned for its rigorous writing and debating competitions.
With pride and determination, TASIS England Middle School entered two teams: a Junior team comprised of Camilo D., Morgan B., Briar M., and John R., and a Senior team consisting of Pippa A., Gus M., and Boston B. These scholars represented our School with distinction, demonstrating their academic capability and critical thinking skills throughout the competition.
The results spoke volumes about their dedication and talent, as the teams secured an impressive total of 35 medals, including an outstanding tally of eight Gold medals. However, their achievements do not end there. Both the Junior and Senior teams received invitations to participate in the Global Challenge, the next stage of this competition that draws participants from across the globe to compete. This international challenge, set to take place in either Dubai, Baku, or Stockholm, promises to be an exhilarating test of their abilities on an even larger scale.
Moreover, success at the Global Challenge could open doors to the esteemed Tournament of Champions at Yale University, a pinnacle of academic competition admired worldwide. This prospect adds an extra layer of anticipation and motivation for the scholars as they embark on the next stage of this journey.
Heartfelt and well-deserved congratulations go to all of the participating students for their remarkable accomplishments. We are also grateful to their dedicated coaches, Ms. Elliott, Ms. Carlos, and Dr. Barker. Their unwavering guidance and support play a pivotal role in nurturing the talents of these young scholars and preparing them for success on the global stage.
We offer our best wishes to our scholars in continuing their academic endeavors. With their intellect, resilience, and teamwork, there's no doubt they will continue to shine brightly as ambassadors of academic excellence.
