Touchless hand sanitizer designed by Middle School Students during Science week.

Middle school students have been busy designing a touchless hand sanitizer as part of their Arduino STEM project during Science week 2020.

Mr. Tzanis, Middle School Science & STEM Teacher, and his students have been busy working on a touchless hand sanitizer as part of their Arduino #STEM project.

This clever idea was developed to prevent students from having to touch the dispenser of the hand sanitizer, ensuring that it always remains germ-free. An Arduino Board was used to upload and execute the code. This activates the servo motor and then the servo motor pumps out the hand sanitizer accordingly. An UltraSonic sensor is also used to detect hand motion.

Arduino is an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software, and is intended for anyone making interactive projects. You can learn more about it here - https://www.arduino.cc/.

We can't wait to see what our students design next!
