January will see the arrival of new students at TASIS England, amongst these will be soccer-playing sisters Maya and Kayla Raghunandanan.
Both have been playing competitive soccer since they were six years old and have most recently played for the Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals and in the Pennington Varsity Girls Soccer team.
In fact, the sisters celebrated their senior year at Pennington by winning back-to-back state championships earlier this month. Both Maya And Kayla have signed letters of intent to play Division 1 soccer in the U.S. on scholarship at the University of Michigan and Villanova University, respectively.
Both sisters have also participated in training camps for the Jamaican national team. Maya has played for the Under-15, Under-17 and Under-20 Jamaican national teams, accumulating 16 international “caps”, scoring six goals, and registering four assists. Kayla attended her first national team camp this year for the Under-20 national team.
