TASIS England Welcomes First Lyle Rigg Scholar

This milestone marks the beginning of a new tradition that will inspire generations of students to strive for excellence while making meaningful contributions to their community.

The Lyle Rigg Scholarship was established to honor the enduring legacy of the late Lyle Rigg, former Headmaster of TASIS England. Mr. Rigg’s vision and leadership shaped not only TASIS England but also the broader TASIS family of schools, where he was known for his commitment to international education and his ability to nurture students as scholars and compassionate global citizens.

The scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, a spirit of service leadership, and a genuine dedication to enriching the life of the School.

Harper joins us from the US, having previously studied at TASIS England from 2021 to 2024. She exemplifies these qualities through her passion for learning, her contributions in athletics and music, and her willingness to give her time and energy in service to others. Harper’s well-rounded approach to school life reflects the very values that the scholarship was designed to celebrate.

Harper shared: “I am honored to return to TASIS England as the first recipient of the Lyle Rigg Scholarship, not only to continue my academic journey, but to further immerse myself in an environment where I’ve always felt welcomed, valued, and at home. I look forward to contributing through basketball, music, the Admissions Ambassador program, community service, and potentially Student Council.

Whether I'm on the court, at the piano, or serving others, TASIS has always encouraged me to learn and grow. I'm excited to give back to the community that has given me so many opportunities.
