Congratulations to Grade 12 student Abby R., who received an official Letter of Commendation from the National Merit® Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) for her outstanding performance on the 2022 PSAT tests.
Only the top 3-4% of the over 3.5 million students who take the PSAT tests are named Commended Scholars — an impressive distinction for Abby to include on her college applications.
The PSAT serves as the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program conducted in the United States. “Those being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success,” commented an NMSC spokesperson. "These students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence ... We hope that this recognition will help broaden their educational opportunities and encourage them as they continue their pursuit of academic success."
