INCLUSION AT TASIS ENGLAND

At TASIS England, we are committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community that provides high-quality education, encourages personal growth and nurtures intellectual curiosity. Our community is built on celebrating the unique contributions of every member and cultivating supportive relationships.

Our school mission, commitments and outcomes promote multiple pathways for each learner, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed. Our focus on lifelong learning emboldens individuals to embrace a culture of learning and personal fulfillment, encouraging curiosity, exploration and discovery.

Through our commitment to international-mindedness, we celebrate diversity and foster a desire to flourish through action and service. We believe that service leadership creates empathetic, compassionate, and principled individuals who take responsibility for sustaining healthy relationships with themselves, their families, their communities, and their environment. We recognize that true equity requires active efforts to disrupt biases, and we are committed to taking action to eliminate discrimination and promote equal opportunities for all.

Our DEI Advisory Committee works in collaboration with the TASIS England Board of Directors to further develop and implement our DEI approach. The Committee reviews DEI related policies and advises on training. Similarly, our team of DEI Advisors promote diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the school community, act as advocates for students, faculty, and staff around DEI issues, facilitate conversations, and collaborate across the school to implement and review DEI projects and training. The DEI Advisory Committee and the DEI Advisor Team embrace UK law, regulations, and best practices underpinned by the Equality Act 2010, Department for Education guidance - Keeping Children Safe in Education, The Children Act 1989 and The Special Education Needs and Disability Code of Practice, 0-25 years (SEND Code 2015).

We are grateful for our community's support, collaboration, and understanding as we work together to maintain and enhance a safe, inclusive, and united school community that prepares our students for the opportunities and challenges of the future.
