During their visit, the inspectors had discussions with members of our faculty, staff, Board, and parent community. They spoke to students and examined samples of their work as they observed lessons, an assembly, and extracurricular activities. They also visited our facilities, from the boarding houses to the Lower School, as well as the learning support and education resource areas.
The responses to the surveys submitted by TASIS parents, faculty, and staff provided a valuable source of information for the inspection team and we are grateful to everyone who took the time to complete these questionnaires. Despite the very short time-frame allowed, over 420 parents responded – a very clear demonstration of the partnership between our families and our School. Furthermore, it was very heartening to see the high levels of positive feedback. Throughout the survey, 91% or more of the responses to each area were positive. We appreciate this show of support and the recognition of the incredible amount of time, energy, and commitment that our faculty and staff invest in our programs and, most importantly, in our students.
The report details the eight key areas which were the focus of this inspection. The ISI Regulatory Compliance Inspection Report relates to regulatory requirements. The findings are communicated in a “pass/fail” or "met/not met" fashion, rather than as a qualitative ranking. While we are very pleased that the inspectors concluded that all standards are being met, we are even prouder to note that the report contains no recommendations for improvement. There is no further action which the School must take except to ensure that we continue to maintain the Independent School Standards.
