IB, AP, and Environmental Science Students Visit Kew Gardens

Students in Advanced Placement and IB Biology and the Environmental Science class visited Kew Gardens in Richmond to further their plant biology studies with direct field experience.

Science teachers, Mr. Tudhope, Mr. Lichaj, Mr. Sanford and Mr. Chong, led the exploration of the biologically diverse 326 acre site. The sessions included: Ethical Trade & Sustainability, Plant Adaptations to the Environment, Rainforest and Biodiversity, and a tour of the garden’s grounds and buildings.

In the afternoon, students toured the iconic Palm House, Princess of Wales Conservatory, and Davies Alpine House.
