TASIS England welcomed over fifty alumni and their guests to campus over the weekend of September 7th -9th to reconnect with the School and renew relationships.
The Alumni Team scheduled an action packed weekend for the alumni, which kicked off on Friday with campus tours, classroom visits, lunch in the new Refectory, and a welcome by Headmaster, Mr. McBrien. Alumni guest speakers visited Psychology, Biology, Mathematics, and Drama classes to share their experiences and knowledge with current students. The day finished with the Convocation ceremony and afternoon tea in the Salon.
The festivities continued on Saturday with a day trip to Windsor. In the evening alumni attended an art reception in M.C. Fleming Gallery, hosted by Mr. John Smalley who shared exciting accomplishments of our current students and recent alumni. This was followed by dinner at the Red Lion pub in the evening. Mr. McBrien discussed the important role that alumni play in contributing to the lasting legacy of TASIS England and how they can continue to be part of the School by taking part in the Annual Fund and Legacy Paver program.
The weekend concluded with brunch at the Headmaster’s home, where current students entertained the alumni with a musical show. Afterwards a fun football match took place on the varsity pitch officiated by Mr. Edward Cross.
Thank you to all alumni and their guests who attended and shared their experiences with our students. We look forward to the next Founder's Day Reunion weekend taking place on August 30-31, 2013. See you there!
