Headmaster Mr. McBrien and upper school teachers, coordinated a day of activities to help freshmen settle into the Upper School environment and to bond with new students. Activities included: an assault course, logic puzzles, rope games, ball games, team problem solving, as well as reading and note taking skills.
By using these six activities, the goals for the day were: to build a sense of class pride and unity among peers, to assist students in understanding their specific learning styles and support them in being successful learners, and to expose each student to leadership opportunities and experiences.
Mr. McBrien commented, “The Freshman Experiential Day was a true testament to the caliber of student that attends TASIS England. They demonstrated leadership skills, concern and compassion for one another, and a true celebration of the excitement they have for attending this amazing school. The students were a true inspiration to those of us that were leading the various activities. As a class, they have a lot to be proud of.”
