Mr. Donald Bishop, Associate VP for Undergraduate Enrollment at the University of Notre Dame, will host a lecture at TASIS England on Thursday, February 23, at 7 p.m. in Magna Carta Hall. This event is open to the public.
Mr. Bishop is the chief administrator for undergraduate admissions and financial aid at the University of Notre Dame. He has been involved in highly selective college admissions and senior corporate employment for the past 35 years. During his career, he has served as the senior leader for enrollment at Cornell University (School of Hotel Administration), Creighton University, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He also served as the head of senior employment for a multi-billion dollar corporation.
Top grades, high SATs, and community service are not enough to make a student stand out at the most selective US colleges and universities. Mr. Bishop will talk about how admissions decisions are made at the most selective institutions, using Notre Dame and other Ivy League schools as examples. Students, parents, and university advisors are invited to join us on Thursday evening. Please bring your questions about how the admissions process works.
No RSVP is necessary but, if you have any questions, please feel free to email Anna Wright, Director of University and College Counseling, or telephone 01932 582 423.
