There's a Government Inspector coming to the Fleming Theatre this Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m.
We warmly invite you to join us for the Theatre's season opener, a brand new adaptation of Nikolai Gogol's classic Russian comedy “The Government Inspector,” performed and technically-operated entirely by Upper School students.
This raucous and hilarious satirical comedy was written by the legendary Russian playwright in 1836, however its timeless lambasting of political corruption and hypocrisy is keenly relevant to our culture today. Set to a pumping gypsy-fanfare soundtrack, this fast-paced comedy of errors will be a riot for all involved.
The show is the directorial debut of our new drama teacher Mr. Hawes, who arrives with several years of experience in the theatre industry working with the National Theatre and running his own company, Slingshot Theatre.Age Guidelines: The show is suitable for 8th grade students and above, due to some infrequent adult language. That said, all Middle School students will be admitted if attending with their parents.
Live Broadcast: The show will be broadcast live by the TASIS TV Team. Simply navigate your way to THIS LINK at 7 p.m.
